A Fun Spring Hockey League, taking place at the brand new South East Event Centre in Steinbach, running from early April and ending in early May, preparing U11* and U13** kids for the 25/26 season. *U11 Eligible Kids (2015 and 2016 birth year) **U13 Eligible Kids (2013 and 2014 birth year) U13AA players are ineligible
The focus of 'The Maple' league is to provide players with the opportunity to fill the month of April with a really fun brand of hockey, with players and teammates they will either play with or against next hockey season...Oh, and each team will wear a Team Canada inspired jersey!
*We are Looking for four teams in two skill divisions in each age category
*Division 1 - Rosters should be comprised primarily of A or B players from the last season of hockey
*Division 2 - Rosters should be compromised primarily of B or C players from the last season of hockey
*Final divisional allocation will be decided by the event director
*Regular season - 6 games - 3 x 12 min stop time periods
*Playoffs - 2 Games - 3 x 15 minute stop time periods
*Rules are TBD, but teams can expect some new twists for this new spring league, generating some excitment that they might not see in a standard hockey game.
*Jerseys are included - League will allocate the colours to each team on a first come, first served basis
* Winning team from each division will win a banner and the Maple Cup!
*Max roster of 2 Goalies and 13 skaters - Teams will be required to supply a coach. Team entries are preferred over individual entries.
