It is a fun focused spring league to prepare players and teams to play with and against the players they will be facing in the upcoming 2026-2027 Winter League. All teams will be provided with Canadian Themed Jerseys, and we integrate fun new rules to keep things unique and entertaining.
Who is the league For?
The Maple Cup is geared towards providing players that play A, B & C at the local minor hockey level the opportunity to enjoy an additional 5-6 weeks of hockey. There are a multitude of Elite Spring league/team opportunities out there, but this league is not for AA or AAA players.
What are the Divisions?
We are offering up 3 Divisions: U11 - 2016/2017 Birth Year - Room for 6 Teams U13 - 2014/2015 Birth Year - Room for 6 Teams NEW! U15 (non-contact) 2012/2013 Birth Year - Room for 4 Teams
When and Where?
All games at the South East Event Centre starting in Early April and ending in Early May. Teams can expect to play between 8-10 games and this season we have added two practices - 1 before the season and 1 before the playoff round.
Game Play Details
Games are 3, 12 Minute Stop Time Periods Two refs and a time keeper are supplied League Website through Teamlinkt with full stats tracking Player of the Game award after each game for each team Unique Jerseys included for each team Special Rules (TBA)
Roster and Team Requirements
Rosters are capped at 15 Skaters and 2 Goalies. We highly recommend maxing out your skater roster in order to ensure you have enough skaters at every game. Teams must have a minimum of 2 coaches and a team manager. (a coach can act as a team manager)
